Am eager to know of publication of rules comparisons between ASA-NCAA and/or ASA-AFA. Maybe even FED-AFA.

If you know of such, please let us know at [email protected]

Your assistance will be appreciated. Many thanx!

Umpzone.com has a rules comparison document for NCAA, FED, and ASA. Not sure if AFA is included or not.

Umpzone's docu does not include AFA, but it does a pretty good job of looking at ASA-Fed-NCAA.

They've also got a mechanics cd - with a 2002 version coming someday - I'll most likely get their's as I've heard that ASA's not going to be ready for a while. I saw a de of the current one and it looked pretty good.

The ASA CD-ROM?

Has any of you guys purchased the ASA CD-ROM?

What is it like?

Is it just a PDF version of the existing ASA book, or are there interactive features (e.g. graphics, HTML links, etc)?

How does it compare in usability and "nift-factor" to the umpzone CD-ROM? The umpzone pictures look pretty cool - are they useful, too?

At our college meeting a couple of weeks ago, one of our state deputy uic's told us that Merle had told him they were not happy wth ASA's cd just yet. It should be a good one, but wait a while on it.

Casey,

Do you work AFA? You can go online to http://www.afasoftball.com
There have their Rules, but do not think that they have a
comparisons chart as of yet. I have one but it was a
2000 publication that was given to the umpires at the
18U Nationals held in Beaumont, Tx. that year. The one
on umpzone.com does not include AFA, unless it has happened
in past few months.
