I was at the top of Pikes Peak on a bright, sunny Thursday afternoon last week. The temp was in the 20's (F) with a steady 10-15 mph winds with gusts up to 25. Loved every second of it. There is absolutely nothing wrong with some cold weather. |

My best shot at poetry:
Rainy .. Windy .. Cold .. Miserable 45.6 degrees on the temp thingy (thats like 1 degree celsius or something, who knows) snow will be here soon. I hate the snow. |
Hell you guys it doesnt even get that cold here in Christchurch New zealand .
The coldest even in the middle of winter is minus 2 degrees then it warms up to 8 or 9 . Generally in winter it sits around 10 or 11 degrees during the day . All celcius by the way .Its too cold for me so occasionally I gravitate to Australia for a couple of weeks for some softball there (when my wife lets me ) |

I KNOW how far it is from the tip of my nose to my longest fingertip with my arm extended at the shoulder! Who gives a bleep if it is hard to use in calculations... that is what computers are for! :D |
Heck....sounds like the "summer" weather in New Zealand is like the winter weather we have been having here in Texas. Guess that's why they play softball the year round here.
|
It's fall now in the Neth.'s... (5-12C). Butthursday it will be like spring: 17C! :D
But still all ice-skating lanes are open and I'm looking foreward for the Alternative Eleven City skating tour; 200km skating in one day. yes, i'm missing the summer too, but in winter there are also fun sports to do: IndoorCup in Schiedam (nearby Rotterdam NL) in jan... |
I Knew I would get an answer from a Texan .
Everythings better and bigger . |

Although I must admit New Zealand could probabley fit in Texas .
Come to think of it we would fit in most of the 52 states. At least we dont get hurricanes:eek: |
