We were watching a TV show which included a scene of a youth baseball game. There was a big sign which said: PARENTS, YOUR CHILDREN ARE WATCHING I though it was a neat idea.

I attended a MLB game yesterday in very hot weather, around 90 degrees, probably even hotter on the field. I noticed that none of the base umpires drank any water during the whole 2 hr 50 min game, except when someone from the visitor dugout took some to the 3rd base ump and I think that was actually soda. Didin't see the PU drink anything either, but didn't watch all the time. I was able to watch their positioning and rotations a bit, though.

On the show... I also liked the way the umpire showed up to be interviewed by the police / ADA (amazing how these crime shows make everybody a detective... but I digress...) several days later in his umpire hat.
