How is a coach going to make a live ball appeal without interfering with the game? If a coach wants to make an appeal, the play is going to be suspended since as the umpire, I'm not going to turn my back to the field to listen to a coaches appeal. I am, also, not going to be liable for recognizing a particular coaches voice while I am watching a play unfold. Nope, ain't gonna happen. |
