Look, if no batter comes to bat, the call three strikes for delay on each batter / each team. 12 outs. Let's go home.

I hate working those games. That's when strange stuff happens.

PIAA, in Pennsylvania, has the 15 after 3 and 10 after 5. With some of the mis-matches, we could go earlier - the game has clearly been decided and both sides know it. Since we don't, it's amazing how frequently runners are seen leaving early on the pitch or batters being out of the box when they hit the ball, ...

In NC it is 10 after 5. The coaches can agree to 15 after 3 at the plate meeting (except in playoffs).

Thanks all. I am going to contact the IHSA and ask them to consider adopting 15 after 3. I can't see the benefit to anyone when a team loses 30 - 0.

Do you then stand there and say "strike" 36 times while everyone is packing up their stuff?

I agree with the , but it neatly gets around the bureaucrats who would insist that the game is either forfeit or suspended. They deserve a

High school state associations seem to be dominated by dweebs in too many cases.
