That straight forward and easy to understand rule (5-8-A-a) specifies that this must be a FLY ball.

The question does not.

The distinction between a fly ball and a batted ball "not in flight" has a ton of implications on a multitude of rules. Little things like that bother me.

But, hey, that's just me!
