Both the Official Gear and Honigs offer a few different styles of chest protectors.

Honigs even has the old baloon-style exterior model. I used to prefer this type when I worked baseball many years ago.

For NFHS, do we have to wear inside protectors?

Which model do you prefer and why?

Thanks.

Cool

I've been using a "standard" inside
protector for the past 15 years or so.
I too used a "raft" for baseball back in the day.
I loved it, especially in hot weather. I could
use one down here, as I sweat like a stuck pig
with my inside protector down here.

Forget the balloon, it looks stupid IMO.. Those days are over.

If you have any extra money to spend, spend it on the chest protector..

I wear this one

but dont recommend it as it wears a little on the neck.

For 12U I will wear a standard cheapie umpire chest protector I got off ebay for 25 bucks or so.
