For those of you who call NFHS and get the supplemental softball guide when you get your rules book, look on page 8 of the softball guide. Recognize the umpire pictured there??? Yup...that's our very own Rachel. Congrats.

We had our general/kickoff meeting last night and I did see Rachel's picture. Looks good...is this the same one that was in Referee Magazine?

It looks almost identical to the picture that you posted here, http://www.frappr.com/officialforumsoftball, except that this time the catcher's eyes are open and yours are closed.

Just kidding...though it does look like the same pic except after the ball has been hit. Since Referee magazine has something to do with the printing of this supplement, I am sure that it is probably the same picture they used.

Hey...maybe that means mine is in there too...since I was in said mag twice last year (once from my good side, and once from my other good side)...

Maybe I should sneak over and pick up a copy before our meeting...

According to the article, you are to decide whether or not the batter
is an unreported substitute.

Good pic, better than the first. Clearer.
