Did anyone else notice how classy the USC QB was in defeat?

Congratulations, Longhorns.

As I said on another board, I am very grateful I am no longer living in Austin. It would be absolutely unbearable.

When I was attending UT in the late 70's (my Dad and Brother are also Alums) the population of Austin was about 340,000. By the time I left, it was at 471,000. Now over 1 million (counting surrounding communities).

I still visit several times per year and am glad that I no longer live there either Tom.........but for different reasons.

However........there is still no better thing than to be on campus on one of the first warm days in Spring.............

I would think Hippie Hollow would be an even better place to be on one of the first warm days in spring.

Here in Phoenix (Tempe, to be precise) that's standard dress for almost every day of the year at ASU!

Man, I'm sorry I don't work in Tempe any more....

Man, they were impressive. As a Penn State alum I'm proud and happy for our #3 ranking. We never had a shot at #1, even if we had beat Michigan, because both Texas and USC were better and deserved their rank. I would have responded sooner (oops, at least it's a lower case "s") but I was looking on the football board.

Congratulations, Longhorns. Definately desving of #1.

Mike
