Co-Ed Slow Pitch - Can anyone tell me it they know of a rule that allows for the batter to ask for a new ball when he or she is at bat? I always thought that you had to wait until the ball was either hit foul or went out of play or if there was something wrong with the ball.

Speaking ASA.

Unless there is a problem with the ball or you have the wrong ball in the game, the only person who may request a different ball is the pitcher at the top of each half-inning.

IOW, to answer your question, there is no such rule.
