After this weekend, I can pretty much guarantee that ASA will drop the rule restricting the positions which may wear a mitt versus a glove. IOW, who cares, a glove is a glove and this is softball.

FYI, for those who believe teams play down, the runner up in the HR contest in OKC this week was a D player from Brackins of Alabama. The balls used were .44/375lb. Hard core, but the shell actually had a little give to it.

The bat issue in softball is as much about liability, insurance and litigation as it is about competition, inflated egos and softball.
