...just tuned in to LLWS CA vs. HI. On two passed balls blue signals dead ball after runners advance one base. Why the DB? Thanks.

I'm guessing because those balls seemed to get up under the lip of the fence. I don't think it makes sense to design that field with that lip.??

I was not impressed with the Cali coaches son's attitude. Several kids shook their heads or threw their hands up when they didn't agree with a call.

Thanks. It's what I expected. They had the same problem on a diamond at local park...the solution was to run a large board along the bottom of the backstop. Now, the ball either runs along the board like a friggin' pinball or it bounces back out into the field of play!
