Anyone notice how the double base in the WC is dark gray and not orange? Any reason for this?

I spend $2200 on this 4" thick 56" HDTV flat panel, spend 3 hours hanging it on the wall, spend a little more to get ESPN and ESPN2, and you're asking if the COLOR IS BAD?!?

You think the color on his TV is bad, you should see his 10U-playing-12U strike zone.

Oh boy, here we go...

...I could talk about your "on again/off again" field presence... leaving your partner mid-game to fend for himself... and missing a tag play at 3B...

...but I won't.

Maybe that is the color they prefer?

There is no rule governing the color of the safety base of which I am aware. I have seen them orange, red and green.

I didn't miss any tag play at 3B. She was representin all the 250-lb. girls who had never hit a clean triple on an enclosed field in their lives. How the !@#$ could I call her out?

I just found it... ASA 2.3.H.1. To paraphrase, half is white over fair territory, half is orange or green over foul territory.

Good going, I missed that. At most clinics where I've seen this addressed, including an ISF, it was always referred to as the "colored" portion of the bag.

Thanks!

Crap! Now "SRW" has gotten a "good going" from "Irishmafia." I'll never be able to live or work with him now....

I get to go work a doubleheader with Taiwan national team here in a little bit...but that's nothing compared to what SRW has received. 10 years from now, out in the back parking lot, he'll say, "Remember the double base thing..."

Yeah, John. But at least he'll have bought the adult beverages - and then, you can listen to a lot.

1) I'll never live with you.
2) Good luck with Taiwan. Don't miss any tag plays.
3) I won't wait 10 years to revisit this one. It'll be sooner than that, guaranteed.

If we have to wait on him to buy, it'll be longer than 10 years.

BTW, Taiwan deal was cool. Had bases first game, 3-1 Taiwan, took advantage of an error and a mental error and that was all she wrote.

Couldn't wait for next game, of course, with me on the dish.

Yikes! 8-7 can we hurry up and get this over...
