I posted this on the baseball forum last week, forgot I hadn't posted it here. This story happened in my hometown in the league I umpire for. I was at another diamond this night but saw the flashing lights on my way home and stopped to see what had happened. This is a community of about 1800 people and this was after a 10U baseball game.

Yeah, it can. I was out of town this weekend, working a few games. On one of the other fields, a fan threatened to meet the PU in the parking lot & kill him - after he had made a second call the fan didn't like. The fan was taken away by the local cops & it will go from there.

I'd like to have seen a "no games or fields or coaches" injunction when released on bail.
