I give the women umpires in the college world series an A+
for calling the slappers out for the attempted bunts... So many times you see a slapper trying to bunt with two strikes(fouling the ball off) and the umpires will rule that she swung at the ball. I'm sorry just rolling the top hand over at contact is not an attempted swing... These umpires are getting this call right..... What does everyone else think????????? |

Peanut butter and bacon ?
What sort of taste buds have you got ? I suppose you like Budweiser beer as well . I have had a similar case wher 2 strikes the batter runs through the batters box with a moving bat contacts the ball which goes foul . I call foul ball . The coach questions me and I go to my BU who is far more experienced , he comes back with a bunt so I call the batter out . Offense doesnt complain but I still think I was right in my original call . |

As I said I went to my base umpire to get clarification .
That was my mistake . By going there I made the coach know I was unsure . When my base umpire came back a bunt ( I actually went to him to confirm my view ) I could make him look like a twit or change my call . My respect for him made my decision to change the call . On reflection after the came I felt I was still right , at the time I had no problem . |

I got introduced to Peanut Butter and bacon in New Jersey. Friends and I were having a late snack after returning from an nite of enjoying Budwieser. I still enjoy the treat. The one good thing I retained from my 3 month stay in Red Bank, NJ.
