Cool

Well I visited Australia at an under16 boys and girls state championships .
I administered obstruction as I would in New Zealand with no problems .
I discussed obs with the umpires and UIC and with several umpires who administer the trainong in Australia .
The outcome was they officiate obs exactly the same as NZ .
Their views were same as mine and nzumpires .
There wer 5 Australian ISF umpires at the tounament .
Now until recently we have not umpired or for that matter discussed training matters between the countries .
How then is it then that NZ and Australia are different from the USA and Canada in their award for obs .
One of my colleagues will be umpireing the NZ White Sox in their tour of Canada in July and another will officiate at the World Under19 Boys world series in Canada in June .
Another is attending a clinic in Canada for his ISF and then heading to Japan for a series between Japan and New Zealand women in June .
All deal with obs in the same way as in previous discussions. I am glad I was back on the diamond
