NFHS Rules - I know that the batter's box is much longer than in baseball (4 feet from the middle of the plate forward). That puts about 1/3 of the box in fair ball territory.

If a batter bunts the ball while standing at the front of the box and the ball pops up and hits her, is she out? Or is she protected as long as she is in the batter's box?
