Did anyone happen to watch the Texas vs Texas A & M game this week? I do not believe this non call should ever be missed with a three person crew. Batter definitely squares to bunt and for sure offers at the pitch. The ball was inside the strike zone and the ball hit her on the leg. PU awarded her first base. The coach came out to complain, the umpires met, and still left her at first. The announcers never gave an explanation. This clearly was a blown call as it was so obvious she offered at the pitch. I can't see why one of the BU couldn't see this. Dave

Did she swing is not BU's call unless PU asks for help.

Damn Aggies.

Mc,

In NCAA she does not have to swing. The mere fact that the bat was
over the plate is an attempt. Both NCAA and AFA use this
ruling.

Dave,

I agree, "She Offered".

I saw the game, and I believe she offered. I thought they would get the correct call when the PU when to talk to the BU, but they stayed with HBP. I thought maybe i missed something.

When I used to live near and work in Austin, I greatly enjoyed needling the numerous Longhorn partisans.

Thanks for giving me the opportunity again...

Dakota you suck.

Glen - I know that. That wasn't my point, but I misread the initial post that mentioned the umpires had met. I was replying to the comment that BU should have seen it, but mistakenly assumed that PU had not asked for BU's opinion.

My bad.

Still hate those Aggies!

Put it this way. I hate the Sooners. I want them to win every game they play, and then get killed by us. But the Aggies... I want them to LOSE every game they play. In every sport. By seventy. Even to Baylor... (oh, yeah, they did lose to Baylor - how embarassing).

Just to clarify - I'm not an Aggie fan... I just enjoy needling the Longhorn fan! And if pretending to be an Aggie does that... all the better!

Gig 'em, Aggies!

Another comment about the game. Cat Osterman seem to leap throughout the game. Is that her normal pitching technique?

Pretty much so, unless you call it. She can adjust, then
will slip right back into it.
