I have one, not sure which yet.
My UIC told me to be ready to go.
Will find out which one later.
I do all 3 forms, fast modified and slow pitch

Whoever is, it will not be anyone from my district. Our commissioner does not think anyone wants to do a national.

Darrell (azbigdawg) has called in a few slowpitch nationals in the last few years...I haven't heard if he is going to one this year.

He is also one of the Deputy UICs for Phoenix...he would know how many umpires we are sending to nationals this year.

The wife and I will travel far, far off to do 16B.

Hope we can survive the 20 mile roundtrip!

Have fun, I did it last year with Serg and a few others that are on here from time to time.

Do you know who the UIC is yet?

16U B Fast Pitch East is listed as LaGrange MS in the book, that is a misprint. The REAL LaGrange is in Georgia! (sorry ZZ Top). This one is gonna be on our home complex, I'm sure it will be fun. I hope the local media plays it up a lot, they did for the Dixie Baseball World Series last year, but seem to be a bit lax on softball.

Who is coming to Columbus for the 18A? That is a NICE complex. I worked the GHSA state there last year. Umpires are well taken care of. (even had do-nuts! ask Kinard!)

Steve M..It must suck to have a commisioner like that. On the SP side in phx...we almost have more national spots than umpires qualified to do them...On the FP side...you have to cut someones throat to get there. Hopefully I wont have to (yes...HAVE TO) do a SP national this year.... it would be 6 years in a row...
