I'm PU, partner has a play at 3rd where thirdbase person is definiately
obstructing. Signals, calls, places runner on 3rd.

Fun Part.

Coach from defensive teams comes to me yelling, "Blue, that's a terrible
call!" "Your partner has to learn the OBS rules." I am trying to ask him
if he wishes to talk to the umpire that made the call, but he is still blasting
away." "Defensive players can block the base!"

Enter the dirty part.

"I call BB and I know that is not obstruction."

Me, "Coach, do you see any 90' bases, 300' fences, and a large pile of
dirt at the pitching distance." "This is not BB and my partners call was
correct. Your 3rd baseperson did not have the ball." "Coach, this
discussion is over, please return to your dugout." "No, you may not go talk
to my partner."

He does come back later and let us know that one of his assistant coaches
explained the "softball" OBS rule to him and apologizes.

I don't know. At this point, I may just have told Mr. Baseball to go find a BB game to call, because he was done with softball for the day.

To be very honest here, my very first thought was,

*WOW, would Mike love to be here right now in my position.*
