Thursday night, co-ed game, home team complains about opponents 'yellow' softball. I know this is trivial, but does it matter, if the right size? Whats gonna happen when a team grabs a marker and colors one red and says they bought it like that?

In our league they can use yellow or white only.

So far, all I've seen is white.

(I haven't called HS yet, but my bud who does sees alot of yellow balls....ummm softballs that is! lol)

can be white or optic (not red) .. must be same color used throughout the game... i.e. cant use 1 white and 1 optic. Coaches should agree to this in pregame. Local can adopt a rule on this.

Thats fed - I'm pretty sure its the same for ASA.

While I would prefer the color of the ball remain the same in a game, ASA does not "officially" demand it as long as the ball in use is within the parameters set forth under rule 3.3. However, remember that the rules are for championship play in which many, if not most cases, the tournament supplies the ball.
