Has anyone seen any graphical presentations on what feet do on illegal pitches for the "Leap, Creap, & Crow Hop"? Animated, video, or ??? Thanks!

I don't remember where I saw them, but some website had good shots that I saw once. The ideas are simple, but maybe a little difficult to see in real time. I think i tend to have a pretty good knack for what's legal and what isn't, but it is tough to see in real time.

Also, what exactly is a creep? never heard of it before.

Creep? I am not sure, but it was one of the three mentioned in my Fed package... There was an attempt to define it, which may have been very good, but I am having a little trouble visualizing the moves....

"Creep"

Is what they are calling it around here when the pitcher starts
with the heel on the picther's plate and slides it forward a bit
prior to releasing the ball. Saw this often early in the season.
Guess it could also be defined as a "crow hop", just not *hopping*,
but sliding.

BTW, WMB might have something he can share on the pitching
graphics.
Sure he will be *lurking* around sometime today.

I saw a great bugs bunny cartoon that showed all of the above and then some. Remember the superslow ball that struck all three batters with one pitch. Awesome display of control and acuracy. http://www.idontknow.com

That is also called a "crow drag" in parts of the country. I recall hearing it was the latest craze several years ago in California, to argue that, absent the "hop", the replant was then legal.

We see it from the standpoint of pitchers who have worked in a gym. An area pitching coach teaches it in the gym as a timing thing (replaces the push). Unfortunately, he waits until July to take it away .

I saw it 5 years ago in my first ASA national...girl from california was "creeping" just a little to start the game. It was hard to see so I didn't call it (wasn't sure). In the second inning she extended it to the point where there was clear breaking of contact. I called IP, coach says, "Okay, now you know how far you can go before he calls it. Don't do it again." as he's talking to his pitcher.
