I am UIC in Little Elm (between the Colony, Frisco, and Denton) for youth softball. If you live in the area and would like to work an occasional game, let me know. I could use one more reliable guy on my schedule.

I am over at Little Elm once in while to call HS ball there. However, it is way too far to drive to do rec league stuff, unless of course you wanna pay me mileage!!

I will do that. I don't think that I am scheduled there officially again this year. However, with rain-outs and scratches, who knows?!

Scott, I thought you did this for the love of the game, not the money. Why would you not help out a fellow umpire. It is only an hour drive and the rec ball should give you plenty of opportunities to see plays in games that you probably will not see very often at higher levels. Think of it as another opportunity to broaden your horizions

You're right. What was I thinking??? Hey! Considering you are so close, why not join me in this "horizon" broadening???

mcrowde1 AT jcpenney DOT com

If either of you are really interested.

(No need to drive an hour for my measly $27/20 a game though! - unless I can get you into a 5-game Saturday, I suppose)

OK Scott, I'll do it if you will. (I'll call your bluff)
But only if you educate me on the finer points of umpiring, Mark T style

I can try, but I don't know if I am at that level.
