NCAA game this weekend. I will try and 'splain best I can with all the info needed.

Runner at second, SS is set up on the line from 2B to 3B, not moving in with the pitch. Runner is leading off with the pitch at an angle of about 20 deg towards the rear of the line. Runner leads and returns the same way for 3 pitches.
On the fourth pitch she breaks for third in the same manner, running sort of an arc and is thrown out at 3B for the third out. Offensive coach (in more of a "fishing" manner) asks "why didn't I get OBS on that play?".
I told him "coach I was watching closely because of where SS was set up, but your runner left 2B in the same manner all 4 times, and never slowed or altered her path, I didn't see her obstructed in any way" The SS BTW ran behind the runner towards the 2B side to back up the throw. The coach didn't argue, or question further, and seemed to be OK with the explanation.

The question I have is, Would any of you construe the runners initial leadoff toward 3B (at the 20 deg angle) as being obstructed?

Jel,

I realize you are talking NCAA here, but politely send her
her and maybe next time you won't have to question the call.

Have her read Tom's editoral. Does not sound as though you had
any reason to call anything.

Sounds like a good no call to me. Based on your description of the runner, I do not think I'd have had anything on the leading off, either.

Glen, your link is bad. (There is no "www" for some reason - don't ask me - ask eteamz...)

Anyway, here is the correct link

Tom,

You are correct. You cannot get there by using mine.
My computer has really been crazy lately. It won't
even allow a disc cleanup, which I greatly need. You
being very adaptive in these situations, have any
suggestion? [Thanks, and if you get the time, e-mail
me a solution. I will edit my post.

Glen, email we with some specifics, such as...

What do you mean it "won't allow" a disc cleanup? What happens, exactly?

For that matter, what do you mean by "disc cleanup" - are you running an application such as Norton, or doing your own file deletion?

Or do you mean "disc defrag"? If so, are you using the Microsoft application or another one (such as Norton)?

For that matter, what version of Windows are you running?

Not to hijack this thread further with this, email me with the answers and I'll see if I have any suggestions for you.
