Gang in our area of NJ we never used any type of Fed Test to do any Prelim Testing to start each season. We have
them for Basketball & Football but I don't recall ever seeing any for BB or SB.
I see various posts on the "Net" sites regarding Fed Pre-Season tests.
I emailed NFHS (2) weeks ago to request if they have
such a test & how would I get them in BB & SB for
training purposes.
Never got a reply from them. Do you guys/gals know where
& how I'd get a master & answer key of such, assuming
they exist ? Please Help! Tom McC.

In NC they are suplied by the state association. They are taken as a proctored exam on the same date throughout the state, and then scored and recorded in Chapel Hill before being returned.

You might contact your stte's director.

Pretty much the same in Texas. Then there is an 8 hour
session umpires must attend in order to be able to call
playoff games. TASO holds four or five of these clinics.

Start here, Tom. http://www.njsiaa.org/

I can scan and e-mail SB Part I if you wish - contact me at [email protected].

If you skim down a couple pages you will find Scott's "Practice Test on-line" post which links to his website. The on-line test is basically Fed Part 1, though scrambled from the FED form.
