Darrell,

You are between Disney World and Dayton Beach of Interstate 4 about 1 hour in either directions and Cape Kennedy about 2 hours away, great if you are taking the family while you umpire.

Largemouth Black Bass for the catching in the St. John's River and other fresh water lakes nearby. Check this website as it looks like a good host city, http://www.ci.sanford.fl.us. My Mom lives about 15 miles away. Have a great tournament and enjoy yourself.

Sanford, FL, is just off Exits 101B and 101C of I-4. It is only about 40 minutes from Daytona, FL, 75 minutes from Cape Canveral, and 75 to 90 minutes from DisneyWorld and other attractions in the Orlando area. There is also a lot to do in Brevard County on the Atlantic coast. Cape Canveral is located at the north end of Brevard County.

The answer to your question is yes and no. As anyone who has lived in a large metropolitan area (I lived in Los Angeles, actually Glendale for two years) will tell you that there are three factors that determine travel time and they are day of week, time of day, and any special events that are scheduled.
