Umpiring 8-U summer league. R1 on 2B and R2 on 1B. Ball very well hit to the gap. Should be an easy 3 run homerun, right? LOL!! R1 about 3/4 to home plate for some unkown reason decides to turn and go back to third. By this time R2 passed third and now passes R1. One out. R3 rounding 3rd base, can't stop, passes R1. Two outs. Now R1 is even more confused and stops. Ball comes to F5 who tags out R1 standing about 5 feet from 3rd. Triple Play. I've been umping 10 years and have never seen that. Who says 8-U is boring??!!

I don't do 8U, but it sounds a lot like 10U - you just never know what might happen. They keep me on my toes.

Well, okay, maybe there are cases where it is good to have an umpire working 8U ball
