since you are going to raleigh, nc. Try a place call Hagemeyer N.A. That use to be the Cameron & Barkley company I use to work for. They should have some. We kept it for our contractors that work in the electrical and industrial business. Maybe some of the sports stores, The sport authority, dicks sporting goods, wal-mart to name a few. Good Luck!

What I have found that works even better is to get some spirits of ammonia, which can be purchased at almost any drug store, pour a capful into one of those really small lunchbox style ice chests, fill it about half full with water, then drop a couple of hand towels in there and fill the rest of the way with ice. Carry this onto the field, and use the towels to cool off between innings.

Skahtboi,
Thanks for mentioning that. A guy I used to umpire with did that and it really helped. Getting ready to do 10-U Nationals in Tulsa starting the first week of August. Looks like it's going to be a scorcher!!

I've used the spirits of ammonia and it does work very well. I'd like to give the Kold Kollar a try but they are hard to locate. I've checked Sports Authority, Modell's, and TD Sports. I'll be at the PONY Nationals in Sterling, VA from 7/18 through 7/23, and after my games on the 23rd I'll head to Raleigh, NC for the 18U PONY Nationals. I'm scheduled for the College Showcase games starting at 8:00 AM on 7/24. It's going to be a whirlwind couple of weeks. Michael |

Steve,
At least you seem to be on the right track. I will even go so far as to welcome you to the board. Hope I don't regret it.

Glad to see someone else knows about spirit of ammonia. When I was in high school, our coach had a fire extinguisher filled with cracked ice, water and the spirits. She used to spray us down when we came off the field.
The small cooler with wash clothes is a great idea, too.
