We all boot rules every so often. But I've found that with game experience and rules study, a big "light bulb" turns on in our brains, after a while.
This being, why the rule exists, how rules interconnect, and so on.
The more games we see, and work, the better we get at putting the rules puzzle together.
It just takes time.
