I was wondering if there was any rule regarding the use of helmut decals in softball?

Like the ones that some football teams give to individual players for making good plays.

Thank you.

Not to my knowledge I have seen them before. I would think as long as the decals were not something that could be distracting (reflective shiny etc) in an umpires judgement they should be ok.

Decals

I've only had one helmet with a decal I would not allow to be used in a game. Just above each ear flap there were deacals that said: "I'm going yard (Snicker)".

In addition to not being so shiney they are a distraction, they must not cover the NOSCAE stamp (or try to disguise a crack).

3AFan/Wade,

The reason I did not allow the helmets with the "going yard (snicker)" decals is because I view that just the way I would if a battter was walking to the batter's box, turned back to the catcher and pointed to the fence and snickered, and then looked at the pitcher and pointed to the fence and snickered again. I view that as unsportsmanlike conduct.

Why wait until the batter gets knocked down with some chin music signaled by the catcher and delivered by the pitcher, or hit by the pitch.

Michael

There are new Rules coming soon: lab audit procedures, accreditation, procedures for withdrawing accreditation, third party testing rules, a definition of children's products and a definition of toy and childcare articles for phthalate limits. That could affect how standards are applied to child helmets.

I'm hoping no one gets our ids confused.

What is your source for this info if serious (or did you forget the icon)?

He's saying the dog flew to Albania to pick up some cheese made with muffins from a Dodge Neon.

C'mon, get with it, Tom!
