Cool Yes, I have

I have done several senior tournaments. At the 50+ you will have a lot of good ball games most likely, they still take the game pretty serious and will keep you on your toes if you are doing one-man. Some of the tournaments I have done at this age will have some ex MLB and some players that have been playing basically all there life, so you can hear some great stories, while enjoying some good play

Just have fun

Don

Yeah, This is the big tourney out here. They have teams from all over the usa come and play in this one. They had two yrs ago. I only live minute from the ball park and they had a blast. That year the rain came out on Friday they did not play until 9:00 p.m. the last game that night was at 3:00a.m. on saturday. The first game was 8 that morning. I got to see a couple of those game and buddy those are some good can't say old cause some can out run the younger kids. I know I'll Have Fun.

And Yes, for the first few games in the morning and afternoon there are going to be one-man umpires.

Thanks,
ED

I have worked a few of these, did the ASA Seniors nationals this last year.
It will be some good ball I am sure, but you better be ready for them to try you.
It is usually all in good fun but occasionally there will be the "ONE" who has to try and stick it to you.
I had an 78 year old man tell me my father had not beat my a** enough when I was a kid .......all because I called him out on an appeal.
Come to think of it, that team was from the Atlanta area.

Watch out
hehehe

While guys those two games I had on friday was a blast, but It was not an ASA tourney it was a SPA. Those seniors had me laughing. Some of the calls I made they did not like, but I was right on my calls. Ha ha

Had fun.

Thumbs up Ed

I have done the SPA Nationals for the last several years. They are a lot of fun. You need to come to Plano Tx this year and do the Nationals they are in Aug and Sept if you get a chance. The reg. games are always done with 2 man and championships we usally do 4 man which is kinda fun. The only problem is they will work you to death 7 or more games per day which is kinda hard in the Texas heat that time of the year

Have a good one

Don,

I'd go to Texas, but they have to ask me. I would like to see my Cousins and friends out there at the same time.

Thanks,
ED

Cool SPA Nationals

Ed,

If you would really be interested in coming go to the SPA website and call Ridge or Don and let him know. Last year they brought in umps from S.C. Ala. Ten. Okla. and several other states so I am sure they can use you. Did Don UIC any of your tournaments?

Have a good one
