What is the lightest plate shoe availabe? Has anyone
tried the Honigs K80. They say it only weights 18.5ozs. I am currently wearing the POS PS1, but they are heavy. Feel very awkward. Looking for suggestions. Price not a concern. (Hell, I don't buy'em my DD does and Father's Day not far off.)

Glen,
I also wear the +POS, have no fear of being blown over in high winds, but at 260 lbs (me not the shoes) I was able to get used to them. Have a buddy wearing steel toed Red Wing's bought by his company. He loves them. BTW that's a sweet DD. You done a good job on the raising! |

Plate Shoes
Glen,
My POS PS1's are too front heavy because of the steel toes which causes the heals to slide up and down. After dealing with blisters on both feet I bought the POS PS2's and haven't had a problem since. I also like the PS2's because they give me additional ankle support. Michael |

I would love to try them but as of now I have to go with no foot protection and pray as New Balance is the only shoe company I have found that has shoes/cleats in 12 EEEE, The +POS only goes up to 12 EEE. On a similar note I have to prasie ASA though for having a fitted mesh hat in size 8 as size 8 fitted hats are not easy to come by.

I wear a 13 EEEEE in normal shoes. Honig's new shoes in a wide width fit fine. I ended up going with a 14, because I thought the 13 was a litle small. But the width is great. I too, feel your pain with the hat...I was at a 7 3/4 before I cut all my hair off...I was having trouble finding a good hat. |

Glen, you might take a look at Tanel's plate shoe. I don't know if it is particularly light but it is very comfortable (wide toe), has great traction, allows an easy pivot, shines very well and is made of leather that will last many years.
Additionally the cleat pattern allows you to readily kick the plate clean. https://secure-sm02.starkmedia.com/t...od_mens_flag=1
