I know that some of you grow a bit weary answering these dp/flex questions but try to understand. It's not that the rule is THAT tough. And it's not that I don't read the rule book, casebook and numerous postings on the subject. The main reason is that, at least in my association, no one seems to want to discuss or review any rule or proceedure. It's pay your dues and get on the field and if you aren't really clear on a few things don't worry, the powers that be don't really care. Well of course I do care. I want to be the best ump I can be. But I also want to work high school ball so it's a don't rock the boat situation. Thats why I rely on your guys help.

I was going to post my dp/flex question here but maybe it's better left for a seperate post. I just want you to understand that its not a lack of work ethic when it comes to looking up the answers, it's an absence of anyone in the area to run it past. My guess is that there are some others in the same boat too.
