Here is what I was told for this year 2003
For ASA ball if the bat is not on the banned list and meets all other qualification for a legal softball bat, Play it.
If it NFHS only the bats that are LEGAL are on the approved list and not on the banned list. So if not listed than consider it ILLEGAL Just how I was told and heared it Don
