Most likely the thread originator, ktcowboys, closed it. A closed thread remains for viewing, but there can be no more posts added.

However, the moderator would only need to get involved if the thread turned nasty and that, most likely would get it deleted, not just closed.

Boy, how pathetic are we that the only active thread is one debating the closing of another?

When I closed "civil disagreement", it was because the comments were way off topic and getting useless.

That's probably what happened on that thread. The topic was numberless batters. Somehow the last several postings were about when to stop the game for weather and other related topics.
