Can you explain the "b" answer in case 2.19.1.A?
I know the ball has not passed a base, but that would make bunts and infield grounders foul.
Please clear my head.

I think it's supposed to be read as A, B, C happens and then the ball spins into foul territory.

Let's ignore "c" for the moment as it describes a ground ball over a bag then lands in foul territory. This is a fair ball.

Scenarios "a" and "b" describe fly balls (swinging or bunting shouldn't matter) and where they land untouched before spinning and rolling to foul territory between home and first or home and third.

In "a", the ball initially landed behind second base. This could also be beyond the baseLINE from first to second or second to third. Once it lands there, untouched, and spins to foul ground between home and first or home and third, this is considered a fair ball.

In "b", the ball never reached a position beyond the baseLINES, so if it spins untouched to foul ground between home and first or home and third, this would be a foul ball.

Adding "c" with the ground ball confuses the scenario a bit. But consider a line drive off the pitcher's plate, untouched, then bounds to foul ground between home and first or home and third would be a foul ball. I think that might have been a test question in past years.
