R1 on first. Batter is slap-hitting. Right foot is totally and obviously out of box when contact with the ball is made. I know batter is out, but what do you do with R1 who was running on the release of pitch. Is that call an immediate dead ball or do you let R1 keep second?

Immediate dead ball. R1 remains at first.
