Umpire Fees

We have a tournament director in our area, Southern Indiana, that is starting to run tournaments where the elite teams play a full 7 inning game with no time limit. He has been paying $50/game to the umpires.

Do you have tournaments in your area that do this? If so, what are they paying the umpires?

That's inline with what we were getting paid at the high school level.
I'd say it's above average Pau for summer ball but I've been out of that scene for a while

In So Call TCS pay for 7 innings or 1:45 is $60

Friendlies can pay as high as $70 for 7 inning game.

I rarely work any tournaments in the summer other than under USA Softball. And I typically receive $40 per game for those. The vast majority of those games are time-limited until we get to the final, and even then we often play with a clock.

I have also worked some college showcases where the organizers pay between $35 and $45 per game. Those are typically 65 to 80 minute contests, finish the batter.

I cannot recall ever getting $50 or more for travel ball.
