Number on uniform

NFHS[B]

Varsity game, umpire sees a player with a 123 number on her jersey.

Is this legal?

If at least 6 inches high, contrasting color to the shirt, non-duplicate.
Nothing in the rules about number of digits.

Is it required to be an integer? Is pi an acceptable choice? Or maybe -6, or 3/11?

Only if you can fit it on the back of the jersey

A youngster recently won a contest by correctly memorizing 24 digits of pi.

Remember, all readers, that this thread is specific to NFHS only. NCAA and USA/ASA require whole numbers (integers) between 0-99.
