For those interested, ASA Advanced Umpire's School is no longer associated with qualifying to work ISF ball.

All umpire quals will run through Plant City, FL by ISF.

Just thought I would throw that out there if case anyone was contemplating going that route.

Just relaying what I was told at our regional meeting by Bob Savoie.

Apparently, there will be no more "continental" umpires. I can only assume this was ISF's call, not ASA.

I guess that means I will finally have to drive down the street those awful 5 miles to go to the school.
I have been putting it off for some time now. I guess I really should go

Well, it IS their turf. ASA is not international, ISF is and they draw umpires from around the world. ISF is the only organization which offers a true "world" series in softball.

Scott,

Did you get ISF when you, Gary and Tim Butts were at
the Advanced School? Not sure that is when you and
Gary meet Tim, but he got his . He has not called ball
since that year either.
