How to search...

OK, I'm having a problem searching on this forum. I've asked a few guys privately, but they didn't know either. So maybe there's more folks like me who would like to know but haven't asked.

I looked in the FAQs but nothing specific to what I want.

I want to search for something that's more than one word. I've tried quotes around the phrase or an underscore between words or the "+" sign. All I typically get are posts that contain one of the two words I put in.

As an example, I want only posts that have "umpire interference" or "run score". These would get me to discussions revolving around those topics. They may not be threads unto themselves, but a discussion that may have evolved as a result.

Thanx for any help. (And all the folks I asked that didn't know how to do it thank you, too. )

I apologize for not replying. I'm looking into this.

Honestly, the best way to search the forum is to go to google and put in

site:https://forum.officiating.com/softball/ and then the phrase you want to search.

For example:

site:https://forum.officiating.com/softball/ umpire interference

I just tried it. Didn't work well.

First option just brought me back to the forum.

There was one link that had the discussion on USSSA UI, but that was about it.

And searching within the forum does return a searched item that is bolded and red.

If you've tried it and got different results, I'd like to know that.

I didnt look through every post it came up with, but I hit the search this forum tab, then advanced search and entered "umpire interference" and these are the posts it comes up with.

https://forum.officiating.com/search...earchid=713094

I hope that gives you the same information I had on the screen.

No, not specific enough. I don't need every post that contains only one of the terms.

I've used the Google method and found it works well.
