I dealt with an organization who tried to weasel out of paying us when a team decided to pack it in at the last minute.

I assign for 21 high schools -- we have 16 softball teams and 14 baseball teams in our league.
If an umpire is not notified before he leaves for a field (given a reasonable driving time), he/she gets a full game fee. You'd think that would encourage schools to cancel earlier in the day and keep costs down. You would be wrong. |
