New?

Is this a new Forum?

I'm new to it - and see there are only 4 'Threads' - or am I so new that I haven't figured out how to find more soccer threads?

With the exception of Florida, most states play their H.S. soccer in the Fall. Plus, soccer at the youth level is played either in the Fall or the Spring, meaning this Forum is kind of slow during the Winter.

I have found over time the two most used soccer forums are "Big Soccer" (on the pitch; referee) for FIFA/USSF and the NFHS forum for High School soccer.

Utah plays boys in the spring and girls in the fall. Not sure why.

TN Boy's soccer is in the spring. I spoke to an older gentleman who was "there" when TN "recognized" Soccer as an sanctioned sport. Soccer had been a High School "club" sport. They had played in the spring so that the "athletes" did not have to choose between American Football and Soccer. When the sport became sanctioned the state office just followed the existing tradition.

Regarding what states play when? In looking a different High School "polls" it appears that ~16 / ~18 states play Boy's soccer in the spring.
