Question

Hi all,

Our league reverts to NFHS/CIF (California) rules when our league rules don't specifically state something.

We recently had two games get suspended due to weather. One in the first half. Another in the second half.

The teams want to finish them. Based on the rules, do we completely restart the games at 0-0? Do we resume at the point at which the games were suspended? Are the games declared over, with the leading team declared the victor? What if a game is tied?

Please let me know as soon as possible. I really appreciate your assistance!

Thanks for your help!
Tim in Hollywood

Thumbs up

Under NFHS rules, once the first half is completed, the game is complete. If a game is stopped in the first half, it depends on the state association. In PA we start where we left off, but I'm sure other states just start over.
