And the "not hearing it" is a load if the umpires provide the appropriate signal and, NO, the runner doesn't have to see it, s/he has coaches who are there...

Don't really know if MLB has a specific assignment for that call, but I believe the unique view that umpire had from his position offered a completely different perspective than what is usually...
