I concur ...

Tee you are exactly correct, if the runner is on third or squeeze position the stepping off with the wrong foot is considered. Especially if he's making a move to the base.

I probably confused...

Not to be pesky,(is that a word even??), but I just don't like it when I hear an umpire say "I know a balk when I see it."

What we have been trying to point out is that you can also "know a balk"...

Sounds like bad coaching to me

Because it would be considered a "highly technical balk", no runners move when the hands move together, and no one complains that it is not called. Everybody in my Fed association would balk...

I kind of figured that. I actually started FED in 1978 but I was young then and didn't keep my rule books.

But I did remember my early training. If the F1 starts any movement, he has to pitch...
