I am somewhere in the midfield third of the country. :D I get around quite a bit, but not been to your state for soccer. maybe soon, to a feb or mar event. mostly travel for coaching

For example, if one of my players is sent off in his/her last game at regionals, that player does not necessarily come back and serve a suspension...

You know, I guess I discount the dual system because I dislike it. There is no doubt less running involved there, and one can probably make it work out fine. We see more 3 man systems in my parts...

However, if a person cannot run for 3 miles or so, continuously, at a base pace, he is unlikely to be able to move well enough to officiate a varsity level...

c'mon, you know better than that cecil - otherwise the original poster would not have mentioned the coach "clearly dissenting" in his initial post, and nvref would not have given this bit of insight...
