I just found out what his name is on Monday, its Mark Pearson. Never heard of the guy before and dont remember ever seeing him anywhere. After I found out what his name was just for the heck of it I checked the AIA register. Based on what I saw of the guy I assumed he had to be a brand new umpire, maybe a 2nd year at most. I was surprised when I found him on the AIA roster, and was flabbergasted when I saw he was a certified official.
This thing wont let me type much in here, if you want more of the story give me your email and I will send you the rest. Not once have I ever mentioned to the guy I was an umpire. He probably has a good idea after my email to his director of officials, but even in that I never said I was an umpire.
