Question 1: If a goalie has possession and clears to a defensemen and there is an interference with the goalie (say an attackmen checks his stick) but the pass is completed and the defense is moving it to the midfield what is the call? It is slow whistle? Play on?
What then is the call if the defense does not clear to the midfield? Is the whistle blown when the defense loses possession? At worst they get the ball at the mid field where they would have anyway because of the goalie interference. Question 2: 10 seconds to get it in the box after coming across midfield - Time starts when they cross - it continues even if it becomes a loose ball correct? And if it is not recovered by the offense and taken to the box it's awarded to the other team correct? Eevans - thank you for all the answers to questions - you're certainly helping us BLOA officials out immensely. Kind Regards, justin "Barney" clark

Question 1.Interference with goalie while he has poss. in crease.
Play-on by trail official. If goalie runs it out or completes a pass to a teammate (no matter where he is) then play on is over. There is no provision for offended team getting ball at midfield after the play on is over. Q uestion 2: 10 sec. count continues even if ball becomes loose. award ball at spot. eric evans |
