Hi.

Well I've been a Toronto Rock season ticket holder since 1998. I've seen them grow from Hamilton to the Gardens to the ACC.

Yesterday, Toronto won their 5th title in 7 years, just one day before their former coach and current executive advisor, Les Bartley, passed away from cancer.

I'm lucky in that my tickets are right behind the Rock bench and for 5 years, I have listened to Les coach his team. I never played lacrosse, but I do love the game. I have coached for 6 years. I know that Les is a great coach. So does the media and the rest of the teams in the NLL.

Will the NLL honour him? If so, how? Well, they did, and without hesitation. The NLL announced this year it is naming its coach of the year award after Les.

Wow.

All I can say is WOW! I think I can imagine what is in the blood of the person that wins the Les Bartley Coach of the Year award.

I hope it's the same stuff that gets me to purchase season tickets each year.

Rest in Peace, Les.
